LEO and Waxy

a trio from Monday -- Long-eared Owl appears to have undergone a dramatic decline in Lincolnshire in the last 10 - 15 years and as hunting habitat in arable areas is progressively ploughed to revert to oilseed rape and cereals it may soon become a very rare bird -- this is the first one I have seen at this former breeding site for three years -- 9 Waxwings were feeding in the bushes around it

Brilliant to see, I keep pestering a ringer friend of mine to take to the breeding sites in the peaks to see a Juv, would love to hear the "Sqeaky gate" call on my patch.
