Black-tails at high ISO

dull and wet all morning at the godwit roost -- all taken at 800 or 1600 ISO and most with the 300 3.8 II and 2x III --last few with 1.4 III





























Most tests of camera performance at high ISO's seem to be done in good light but that is not when you actually need it in wildlife photography so I was pleasantly surprised to see how these turned out in what was terrible weather and how the 2x worked on the 300 with regard to AF and speed -- most were only 1000th sec or 1250th --- some cleaned up a bit with NI others not
