Waxwings in willows

having not done any good with Waxwings this year I hobbled down to Messingham (another Badminton pulled muscle) but found the flock of 50 or so birds not very accommodating; the visits to the berry bush were fleeting and in the shade so I concentrated on trying to get shots of them eating the willow flowers but even in a fairly open willow they sat in the shade 99% of the time a very effective disguise as they were usually invisible!

Hi Graham,
Well it looks like you got some nice shots anyway. Well done, I especially love the 2nd and 4th shots which are amazingly beautiful but the whole set is fantastic.

Nice to see Waxwings in the different setting of fresh light green Willow leaves.
